Established in 2019 the Orchestra Wellington Foundation (the Foundation) is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation. Its purpose is to support the long term future of Orchestra Wellington. Over the years our aim is to build up an endowment fund made up of planned gifts, such as gifts in wills, and this is carefully invested and used to support the long term plans of Orchestra Wellington.
The Foundation is an experienced steward of the endowment fund and strategically distributes its earnings to the specific needs of the orchestra.
You can leave your mark in the music by helping to grow the Foundation’s endowment fund through planned giving.
Planned giving allows you to give at some future date, either a number of years from now or as a legacy. A planned gift is a present decision to make a future gift. There are a number of ways in which you can contribute to the Foundation’s endowment fund by making a planned gift including:
- Leave shares or personal property to the Foundation
- Leave a Legacy
- Name the Foundation as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy
- Make the Foundation the beneficiary when you are winding up a trust or private foundation
- Pledge a multiple year gift
